Leadership Team

Bart Vansevenant is senior vice president of Global Security Solutions for Terremark, a Verizon Business. He is responsible for the global product management and development of Terremark’s security portfolio including Managed Security Services, Identity and Access Management Services, and Governance, Risk and Compliance Services. Vansevenant is also responsible for Terremark’s global security operations, including six Security Operations Centers in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Prior to taking on this role, Vansevenant was executive director of Global Security Solutions for Verizon Business. His role included developing Professional Services, Industry Solutions and Integrated Solutions that apply across network, communications, IT and security services. Vansevenant joined Verizon Business from Cybertrust, a leading security solutions provider acquired by Verizon Business in 2007. At Cybertrust, he was director of product management for managed security services and vulnerability management for Cybertrust worldwide. His role included defining the product roadmaps, setting prices, interfacing with market analysts and supporting new business opportunities. Vansevenant was part of the Cybertrust team following the merger of Betrusted/Ubizen and TruSecure which formed Cybertrust. At Ubizen, Mr. Vansevenant served as executive vice president of marketing, managing the company’s marketing communications, public relations and analyst relations. Before joining Ubizen in January 2001, he led the internet product management department at cable operator Telenet (part of Callahan Associates).

Vansevenant holds a master’s degree in applied economics from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, and a post-graduate degree in information and communications technology from the University of Namur, Belgium. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
