Terremark's flagship NAP of the Americas is a Tier IV, 750,000 square foot datacenter with access to more than 160 global network carriers that provides services to commercial customers and classified and unclassified government clients.
Terremark Federal Group leverages the infrastructure at the NAP of the Americas to create customized solutions built according to SCIF standards for the most security conscious entities in the USG. The entire 3rd floor (150,000 sq. ft.) of the NAP of the Americas facility has been designed to house critical USG requirements and has enhanced security infrastructure and procedures to support existing contracts.
TFG currently has both a 4,000 sq. ft. and a 2,000 sq. ft. secure suites built to DCID 6/9 standards ready for immediate occupancy; another roughly 40,000 sq. ft. of space that can be designed and built in 90 days from contract execution; as well as another 60,000 sq. ft. that can be designed and built in six months time.
Terremark Federal Group's Herndon Technical Center (HTC) in Northern Virginia provides a technical laboratory and colocation space for Federal customers. The HTC is a locked-down facility that controls access via numerous layers of physical and electronic security devices.
The NAP of the Americas and HTC are interconnected via four physically diverse high-capacity fiber-optic routes enabling services performed in one location to be duplicated in or delivered to the other. HTC and the NAP have secure network operations centers that monitor the networks brought together within HTC, as well as the NAP of the Americas.
HTC is an infinitely configurable environment that serves as a hub to network other governmental facilities together. HTC has more than 60,000 square feet available for office, data storage, application hosting, and laboratory, staging, or COOP/Disaster Recovery use. In addition to 13 fiber carriers that service HTC, HTC has access to international routes via the NAP of the Americas.
