

In 2002, Terremark entered into an exclusive agreement with the Comunidad Autonoma de Madrid to develop and operate carrier-neutral network access points in Spain. As part of that agreement, the parties formed NAP de las Americas - Madrid S.A., which is modeled after the NAP of the Americas in Miami. Terremark provided the technical and operational know-how for the development of the NAP which began operating in October of 2004. The NAP de las Americas Madrid is in a strategic geographic location and serves as an Internet gateway to the European Union, North Africa and the Americas.
